Search Extro before creating a record. Create a new private item only when the traveler needs it and the facts can be supported.
create_event
Use for something scheduled: a concert, reservation, exhibition, party, class, or ticketed experience.
create_place
Use for a reusable destination: restaurant, bar, hotel, attraction, shop, venue, or landmark.
Required behavior
- Use the exact public name.
- Include dates with an explicit time-zone offset when known.
- Keep source URLs attached to the matching item.
- Omit unknown fields instead of guessing.
- Never copy private attendee, reservation, or contact information into a public description.
- After creation, add the item to the intended list rather than creating another copy.
Create “Friday Jazz at Example Hall” for 2027-03-12T20:00:00-05:00, include the confirmed venue and official event URL, then add it to “New York Spring Weekend.”
When evidence disagrees
Tell the traveler what is uncertain and keep the field unset until it is confirmed. Time-sensitive information should be checked again before the trip.
